LaShaya first gained intrest in fashion at Suitland High School while taking a fashion design course her senior year. While in this fashion design course she realized that she has an unconventional way of design and preferred to not plan but to allow her visions to come alive naturally. This would then take her to applying to various fashion design programs but due to financial reasons wasn’t able to attend any. In January of 2017, LaShaya enrolled at Bowie State University after being out of school for six years. She would eventually change her concentration from Public Relations to Fashion Design after taking one fashion design elective course. LaShaya artistic style would be best classified as “just do it.” Meaning, where most people have a vision and will sketch it out. LaShaya will have a vision and immediately go to the fabric store to execute it.
